A new diary entry from Shirley should be due within a a couple of hours. I'venoticed she tends to post Tuesday mornings. The last album she had a tendancy of posting Monday evenings. (by my time zone standards, CET/GMT+1)

How right can a person be? Ok, so I didn't get time to check g.com before going home yesterday, but as soon as I got here today I checked it and ta-da! There it was! I loved her description of burnt matches, it's delicious! I remember when I found out she had a tendancy to eat burnt matches, I'd told a friend of mine no more than two weeks earlier that I loved the taste of it. In addition I'd asked my science teacher if it was dangerous, if it had any dangerous chemicals. It's just ashes so there's no real danger. @nette

Eating the heads of burnt matches sounds kinda weird, I'm going to go try it and see what the fuss is about .

It is a weird habit. I never knew of anyone doing it until I read Shirley's confessions a few years ago.

A few years ago, me being the genius that I am, I tried putting a lit match in my mouth cause I saw Fiona Apple do it in one of her videos. Ended up with a nice burn on my tongue.

Ended up with a nice burn on my tongue. LMAO!!! I used to do it all the time when I was wee. The idea of it is to have the match burn out inside your mouth. In order to achieve that you have to exhale before entering the lit match so that your mouth is full of carbondiaxide and not oxygen. As you know, flames thrive on oxygen. But don't exhale to hard cos then you'll blow out the match before it enters your mouth. And when it's out, you blow smoke out your mouth. Get the idea now? @nette
