Ok so i have about as much chance as flogging snow to the eskimos...I know. but I reckon you need dough to compete with these geeks. I mean how are you supposed to keepup with all the fancy new software if you're skint/broke? It's a class thing I tell you...it's a political issue. Well first off you would need a general knowledge of computers. Install, troubleshoot, maintain.

there are two side to the computer industry. Hardware service and installation/Information Technology, and software/firmware that runs them. Which side interests you?

My parents were dirt poor when I was growing up. By that, I mean they could barely afford dirt. Somehow, we managed to get a packard bell in 1991. I used that thing till 1999. You don't need a new computer every year to keep up with everyone else.
