On VH1's best 90's music. I believe Garbage will be on the future episodes.

Vh1 plays Garbage videos often esp. on Flipside (alternative music), Smells Like the 90s ('90s music) and sometimes on various tops.
From Vh1 I heard "Run Baby Run" a song that "ignited" the interest on Garbage.

They aren't on the countdown actually. But it is possible they might enjoy a cameo during a discussion of alternative music or something. HERE is a full list of the songs included.

They should just call it the "songs that are Totally 90s" or the "best one hit wonders of the 90s" or something and fess up. I mean seriously....Gerudo, "Rico Suave." I'm glad Garbage isn't on the countdown, frankly.

They (Vh1) even have 2 (two) promos with Garbage on them: one is at Flipside (a little bit from Stupid Girl) and another one with Smells Like the 90s (again appears Garbage - Stupid Girl on an audio cassette) I'm talking about Vh1 Europe; I don't know about Vh1 US

But, you know, were talking here about songs that you'd hear repeated on the radio several times a day when they were in their prime. Songs whose videos were seen several times day on the music channels. These are songs that have risen to the status of becoming "pop standards." These are songs that are appreciated and saluted by (i.e., are considered popular by) a broad cross-section of the population whose musical tastes run the gaumet. (I don't listen to country music, but I get a big kick out of "Achy Breaky Heart." I don't listen to rap music, but I get a big kick out of 'Baby Got Back.") And when I think of all the Garbage songs released in the '90s, I think an honest assessment of those Garbage songs is that they did not reach the magnitude of airplay on the radio and music video channels that these songs on this VH-1 list did. The songs of Garbage in the '90s where not the kind of song that had a cross-over appeal to hook into the minds of a broader listening audience the way these songs in this VH-1 list did.
Consider this before allowing yourself to be dejected any further by the absence of Garbage in this VH-1 list:
For three decades, the Grateful Dead had a fan-base of millions of faithful followers. And that band had only one hit single "Touch of Grey" in 1987. All that was ever heard of the Grateful Dead on radio and MTV was "Touch of Grey" for a couple years in the late '80s. And once in a blue moon (not even that ... say once in five years, lol) you will hear the song "Truckin" (the "What a Long Strange Trip It's Been" song) played on the radio. Those are the only two Grateful Dead songs I'm familiar with, but I've watched on TV a few Grateful Dead concerts and have found myself marveling over the passion and enthusiasm expressed by the audience participants at a Grateful Dead concert.

I was watching the show every night since Monday, and I was so bummed out to find there was no Garbage.
I was also shocked there was no No Doubt, no NIN, I wasn't expecting any Marilyn Manson, but I thought maybe there was a chance for some.
Eh... Oh well.
I can't believe how many shitty songs were on the list and some of the songs they chose for certain artists; The Cranberries "Linger"? I thought Zombie was their hugest/most popular song. (either way, I love both songs, so it doesn't matter)

On a brighter note, Butch was on Seven Ages of Rock: American Alternative on VH1 Classic

R-r-r-r-r-r-reeeko Sowauvay ... LMFAO ... When you look at our music business here in "the land and the home of the brave," you have a choice: you either Laugh My Fuck'n Ass Off or you Cry My Fuck'n Ass Off.
To save you sanity, there's only one choice: LMFAO

At least you can see Shirley when they show the part where you vote for them. A small plus?
