I don't want to start anything with the mods, but I was just wondering, how likely is it that someone will post a full length download for Betcha and ATGITL? I'm dying to hear them, and I live in the US where we don't get singles....so I don't see how it'd really be illegal...since we don't get them here......

Its against the rules to make a post with links to downloads but members can share any and all music with one another through PM's.

Kind of the rule is if its and official relase its not allowed to be posted but seeing as most of the singles are no longer aval its in the middle somewhere but what happens via pm stays via pm.

Copyright is still copyright whether the song is available commercially or not.
Easy to say I know when I live in a country that generally gets B-sides. But that's not Garbage's fault, it's the industry. The UK music market is so singles orientated and UK sales are 50 per cent of Garbage's career. The US album sales are the other 50 per cent. Garbage could sell all the singles they could press in Australia, Japan and Europe and it would mean fuck all. They are signed to UK and US companies and at the end of the day, it's those sales that matter.
Hence why the UK gets B-sides and multi-formatting. I'm not saying I never share tracks with friends, but I'm not doing it before TMWIH has a chart position. I don't want to feel bad for myself if Garbage go in really low cause no-one's bothered with buying the single. That's also the same reason why I won't share IAOBTC remix, or the Orchestral TMWIH (it's leaked now anyway so that's a moot point).
Sorry for the rant, but I'm starting to feel annoyed at some people's attitudes to something I have no control over and am lucky enough to live in a country that gets B-sides. Especially when Betcha will be on every P2P and music blog within the day. I also don't remember anyone complaining when Australia and Europe got Badass on the RBR single, and everyone was quite happy to download it when it leaked on over a month before release.

Why does everyone think that this forum is the ONLY place to get B-sides and singles? Every song of AG and the singles are already uploaded for torrenting on some P2P sites.
I personally don't condone illegal uploads, but my point is that if you want it bad enough and are too cheap to buy it, you must do your research to find it.

Oki but for example, the commercial videos are also copyrighted so your dumb is not very legal ether.
But actually, I'm really happy for everything I've found in it. Thx

What I dont get is what is wrong with the damn American record company? I mean there are people here who are willing to pay for a product they have yet they wont release it. I just don't get it.
I don't like downloading it illegally but I also dont know what they expect when they won't give us the option of buying it.
Cant Garbage get a new label that actually cares about their fans in the US? LOL

Cant Garbage get a new label that actually cares about their fans in the US? LOL But how many people release singles in the US anymore? I work in New York and I've been to every kind of record store imaginable, and the only singles I see are either indie bands releasing EPs or pop/dance acts releasing maxi-singles with remixes. I believe Push It was the last US single. Garbage was still on the old record company for all of Version 2.0. If Almo didn't release any singles after Push It, there must have been a reason - most likely sales-based. Is it worth it to release a single in a non-single-centric market that only appeals to the few thousand hardcore Garbage fans left? I don't condone it, but I understand it, and from a business perspective, it's the only option.

You just have to order it through the interent from overseas and have it shipped to the U.S. It's very easy to do and I did it with all of the BLM stuff from '05.

But see what doesnt make sense now is that we have iTunes. Would it cost the record companies any money at all to just do a digital release? It wouldn't even require production of actualy goods. The Almo just doesnt give a crap about us. They didnt even freakin release Cherry Lips here!
And yes if you have the internet and a credit card and manage to you can usually buy the stuff from overseas. For a long time I didnt even have a computer and even now no one in my family even has a credit card.
Im not saying we should illegally download, I just am pissed about how fucking stupid the US record company is. Garbage could be big but they wont spend a cent on them. They get NO promotion here. It sucks.

The whole electroclash death Disco everybody-wear neon on black and white thing seems to be all the rage just now. It's influencing everything from pop music to high street fashion.
