Yes excited! Completely missed there was a working title, I like it, although might be a bit long perhaps.
I've been trying to think how they might time the releases this year. Will the new album be released earlier in the year, with the G re-release to follow in August, or both at same time?
We haven't had much in the way of teasers compared to preNYKOP, was that cos they'd been away so long or could it mean the albums coming later in the year. Saying that, the Mexico festival gig is in March so surely that'll be kicking things off and showcasing a couple of new songs at least? Then there is RSD where we're guaranteed to get something surely!!!
Can't wait , what an exciting time to be a darkling :-)

Can't wait , what an exciting time to be a darkling :-) I imagine that they'll be re-releasing the self-titled album on the 20th anniversary, yeah. And you're right, they've been much more conservative with teasers this time around. I think they want this record to be a surprise so I'm guessing that some of the material on it is gonna be very different, and that gets me even more excited!

And also the red dots next to 11 of the songs shows they've at least provisionally chosen the songs to make the final cut. Woop woop. I really hope This is the end is just a song and not a reflection on their career!!
Since we're now in 2015 I've getting super hyped :-D

I was 13 when the Androgyny video came onto MTV and was amazed at how funky and different it sounded. Bought BG when it came out a few weeks later, then the 1st 2 albums and then was obsessed. Pretty pissed off I missed out following their most successful years and although remember hearing Milk, Paranoid and TWINE when they came out I was too young to appreciate them. Btw, Shirley announced they were back in the studio today to record something "very special" for RSD2015. I'm really hoping they're rerecording some songs from the debut

I first really got into them in Grade 10 which would have been a little after NYKOP was released. I had known of them before because ITIP was on rock band and I had heard "only happy when it rains" on the radio. I was on the youtubez looking up the music videos for my favourite music on rock band and I remembered I Think I'm Paranoid. I watched the music video and was instantly hooked. But the song that really solidified my love for them was Special (Still my favourite garbage song). That one made me go out and buy Absolute Garbage. After that I pretty much marathon-bought their studio albums. I went V2.0 -> NYKOP -> BLM -> Self titled -> BG and I actually ended up loving BG the most. If I were to rank them i'd say BG>V2.0>Self-titled>NYKOP>BLM, but each album is really good regardless of how I rank them. I'm in my last year of highschool now. They were my first favourite band that I'd gone out of my way to discover on my own, and they're my all time favourite band still today. I emphasized band because the first musician that I really got into on my own was Jenny Owen Youngs. And yeah the remastered debut would be cool for RSD, but I'd be super happy if it was the lead single of the new album!

It's cool to hear someone else loves BG too! I never did understand why it got so much bad press from people, it's an amazing album, and very cohesive I feel which is most peoples gripe with it. My rank would probably be: Self titled > V2.0 > BG > NYKOP > BLM. I remember being quite disappointed by BLM. Special is my second fave after Queer. Looks like we're almost running the show on here at the mo lol. Hopefully more people will appear when they start announcing stuff properly.

And I'm glad that new fans are welcome around these parts! No one at my school is really into Garbage (a lot of them don't even know them) so I feel pretty alone in my musical tastes. While others are listening to Iggy Azalea, Taylor Swift, Dubstep and Rush (they have a cult following in my school), I'm listening to Garbage, Bjork and The White Stripes. Everyone thought my Garbage 'g' necklace stood for google and that made me want to vomit. So this forum is the ideal place for me to discuss the band. But I should have sought it out sooner back in 2012 or 2013 when it appeared to be more active. But anyway, I'm hopeful people will return with more news of the new album! to me BLM just wasn't their most interesting release, but it still has my favourite closing track Happy Home.

That doesn't surprise me about your school, I've always struggled to find people who even know who they are let along like them lol! To be fair about the necklace, the font they used is almost exactly the same as Google, but must've been pretty sickening!! My oldest teddy bear wears the rubber wristbands lol. Did you manage to get to any shows on the last tour? If not I bet you're really looking forward to this tour! I went to my first G show in May 2012 in London and I was so excited I vomited before the show in the toilet. How pathetic lol!! It was such an amazing show. Btw I love Happy Home too, although I don't think they'll ever top You Look so fine

But I live in Halifax which ain't the biggest city in Canada so I can't count on them going here. The closest they'll probably come is Montreal.
