Nobody watched ? Is been almost a concert more then a normal closing Ceremony, i must be honest some choice let me...... George Michael open the performances but nevertheless he tried to make hot the pubblic ppl's that seams to me quite cold.. after Petshop Boys and a boyband i don't recall the name played a short song each (but since i'm not a fan i could be guess the was cut versions of 2 songs),after the Spices.........well organization want their for their "name" but if was on they(The Spices) i had never accepted they also maded a short version for some their hit (why not a complete song ?) what was so wrong ? Mmmm playback....and except Victoria the other dosen't look like had done some prove before the renunion, Mel C was the only who seams to sing live (note her face ...she must had done some bad operation) after some dancing Fatboy Slim (nice the octopussy) Jesse J someoneother (black rapper ?), a kind of musical ,a virtual homage to Freddie Mercury.... what remain of the Queen (just Brian May and Roger Tyler) with Jesse j ..not bad but she seams to understand who sing a Queen song just at end of her performance after the Take That without Robbie W. not bad but the song was boring and The Who...who maded a small concert. What say mmmm the traditon was that the athletes at end are all togheter and mixed thise time they was dived for country....and forced to be where the organization wanted. Is been a kind of experiment that to me isn't be well maded FallenAngel

The only thing that interested me was the Opening Ceremony. The soundtrack was put together by Danny Boyle & Underworld and they really did an excellent job. Also Arctic Monkeys & Paul McCartney were great.
PS: I'm also a big fan of Underworld.

the broadcast in the US was edited heavily. NBC probably figured their audience wouldn't know who a lot of the acts were. and in a truly classy move they cutaway from the closing ceremony to show a sneak preview of "animal practice" a sitcom set in an animal hospital. needled to say most of the audience was not pleased.

I watched part of it. But I got to see Madness, so I was happy.

Yeah, the NBC coverage of it was terrible here.

Yeah, towards the end it got good, but I REALLY wanted to see the Women's Soccer, but of course, they wouldn't show any game that would take more than 45 mins at a time!!! At least I got to see the Canoe Slalom and Sprint, Volleyball and Artistic Gymnastics!!! But I'm WAAAAYYY sad i didn't get to see Alex Morgan kick some ass in the soccer games!!! Damn NBC to HELL!!!!

I didn't bother with any of the Olympics this year. I figured it would just make me angry to have to suffer through NBC's coverage.
