ugh.....I had VIP tickets to see them with SONOIO in Philadelphia a while back, and just as we got into the city, my friend's car broke down, and we ended up spending the rest of the night waiting on a tow truck and a ride back to DE. Missed the show.

They are SOOOOOOOOOOOOO good. Stop what you are doing right now and just buy their whole discography already But if you don't want to hold your breath and jump right into the deep end...start with Witching Hour. You will appreciate the others more (including the earlier stuff) if you start there, I think.

Ok, listened to Velocifero, Light and Magic and Currently got Gavity.. on.
Velocifero was amazing I thought. A fair few of them were on the best of but the album is amazing overall.
Liked light and Magic very much, though there were a few towards the end I couldn't quite connect with but love True Maths, Seventeen, Blue Jeans, Fire, The Reason Why and Evil especially.
Loving the softer, dreamier Gravity at the mo - Mirage and White Gold are stunning!

You're right, some songs towards the end of Light & Magic are not on the same level as other ones (the same for 604). Give them a bit of time. Also don't forget the album 604. (Waiting for a short review for Gravity the Seducer & 604). Check also Evil (Ewan Pearson radio edit) used on Evil music video (American version). It's more upbeat and quite different: In fact I recommend you to watch all their music videos. Their music is incredibly addictive I must say.

Listened to 604 last night - agree with what you say bout t being the simplest record, I'd say most uncomplicated - without trying to repeat myself it's another very good record overall , the tracks I knew beforehand like Discotraxx I like a lot but think it may be my least favourite overall as I think the other albums are just much stronger but they are all enjoyable and great

Probably because it was an oddity at that time when garage rock was popular. I guess you're not a big fan of electronic music to really enjoy this kind of robotic music from 604. Mu-Tron, Discotraxx, Another Breakfast With You, The Way That I Found You, Commodore Rock, Playgirl, I'm With the Pilots, He Took Her to a Movie, and Jet Age are the highlights for me.

I honestly have never even heard of Ladytron before, but I checked out the video for Destroy Everything You Touch, and I have to say the song is EXCELLENT. Time to do some googling/youtubing!

I think I am going to buy the Best of 00-10 for sure. Get the CD deluxe edition. It has 33 songs (all original songs, not remixes) plus a great 80 pages booklet. It worth every cent.
