Im having a real tough time with the new iTunes 10.1 update
I recently updated my Itunes to version 10.1 with Windows 7
Ever since then if I try and rip a CD to my library it crashes as soon as I hit the "import CD" button.
I get a message saying "iTunes has stopped working and needs to close" or something to that effect "cannot complete this function"
I have ejected CDs, turned iTunes on and off again but it still does the same thing.
I checked my updates in iTunes and it says I ha e the most up to date version.
This was not a problem last week before I updated.
Can anyone help please? Many thanks

Have you tried completely re-installing?

I've not downloaded the new update as yet, so I don't know how it would affect me.
Surely theres some way to same your iTunes library when re-installing the way you can save your fave links when you reinstall your internet broswer?

I rang support apparently if you remove the iTunes program completely it wont remove your library it puts everything back on straight away when you reinstall iTunes
Here is hoping - looks like I'm going to have to do it tonight

Yea the last time I installed iTunes it fucked up and kept crashing everytime I opened it, I had to re-install which fixed the problem and didn't delete my music. The reason that your music will most likely be sweet is that the when you update/reinstall/remove iTunes, the iTunes music folder remains in tact (usually in your general music folder) so anyway, here's to hoping you're as lucky as I am in recovering your music library : )

It worked! It took 5 mins to check the library but it was all there just as I left it - job done!
