It's not just the fans of Twilight that I hate: www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20049578,00.html I wonder how much research R.L. Stine did for his books?

I'll preface this post by saying that I have read the Twilight books and enjoyed them to a degree. When people say she's not a good writer, they're correct. I occasionally found myself distracted and taken out of the story by the poor writing. But they were entertaining enough.
Anyway, I read that interview. God, she sounds almost as dumb as her fans. One part that jumped out at me:
wow, if Twilight was supposed to be writing geared towards adults as well, I feel my intelligence has been insulted. It comes off as though she's putting her writing on the level of the classic authors, haha. Maybe I'm just reading too far into it, but yeah...
J.K. Rowling fully acknowledges that her books are for kids, and yet the Harry Potter books are FAR more intelligent than Meyer's books.

The Harry Potter series shows all around an amazing sense of writing, yes, but as far as intelligence, I would have to say that is the reader projecting what they want to see.

I didn't mean intelligent in the academic sense of the word, nor any deep, philosophical, etc sense of the word. I mean to say that her writing itself achieves a cleverness and construction that Meyer could only dream of. Not suggesting that Rowling be counted among history's greatest writers--just used "intelligence" in a contrasting fashion.

I had to share this...My friends at www.savethescc.com were at Comic Con handing out "Save Sarah" swag. Today, I gave a savethescc bag to a woman who was holding on to a Twilight one. I truly believe that I changed her life for the better.
