The 8th Wonder of the world 'The Pink & White Terraces' belonged here in New Zealand till they were destroyed in 1886 when Mount Tarawera erupted, it also killed 147 people. Bonus Garbage Fact: A press conference "Gar-barge" was held for the release of Subhuman on a barge down the River Thames, the debut album was sampled and the band were to be interviewed - the band arrived late to discover the boat had left without them.

Bonus Garbage Fact: A press conference "Gar-barge" was held for the release of Subhuman on a barge down the River Thames, the debut album was sampled and the band were to be interviewed - the band arrived late to discover the boat had left without them. If you look closely there's about a second or two of footage of Shirley from that press conference on Thanks For Your Uhh Support. Random Trivia: Contrary to popular belief, the Great Wall of China is not the only man made object on earth that is visible from space; in fact, the Great Wall is barely discernable, and only under perfect conditions. Low earth orbit(160-350 miles up) is the altitude that the space shuttle orbits at. At this "low" level of orbit, many man made objects are viewable to the naked eye, including airports, bridges, dams, and highways. The Wall is only 30 feet wide, and is of a similar color to its surroundings. The myth that "the Great Wall is the only man-made object visible from the moon" started in 1938 when the book "Second Book of Marvels, the Orient" was published, stating that "Astronomers say that the Great Wall is the only man-made thing on our planet visible to the human eye from the moon." Something that is almost invisible at 180 miles certainly isn't visible at 237,000 miles.

Just because its so close to home for me: American novelist Mark Twain was the first known author to submit a typed manuscript.
Other great trivia: Author Robert May considered the names of Reginald and Rollo before he settled on "Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer." Creator Ian Fleming's fictional character James Bond made his debut in the 1952 novel "Casino Royale." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casino_Royale_(book)During his entire life, Vincent Van Gogh sold exactly one painting, Red Vineyard at Arles. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Red_VineyardFido means faithful in Latin. A fetus that is four months old, will become startled and turn away if a light is flashed on the mother's stomach. A world record 328 pound ovarian cyst was removed from a woman in Galveston, Texas, in 1905. After twenty-seven years, Betty Rubble made her debut as a Flintstones Vitamin in 1996. Alexander the Great and Julius Caesar were both epileptic. An average adult produces about half a litre of flatulent gas per day, resulting in an average of about fourteen occurrences of flatulence a day. (Awesome!)
