I really like this song. Brody is definetly using more of the soul side to her voice. And sounds quite distinctive from The Distillers.

I bought the EP and Ghetto Love and Valium knights are definitely winners, the other two songs are going to have to grow on me, they are ballads. I'm pretty excited about Spinnerette, I was a fan of the Distillers and always thought Brody's voice was cool, now it's just toned down more and a little more melodic

This stuff is really promising!
Is it my imagination or were they originally called 'The Spinnerettes'?

As far as I can remember it's always been Spinnerette. Is it just me or does this seem like Brody solo with a band under the name Spinnerette? Either way she has quite a good 'band', with Tony Bevilacqua (Distillers) on guitar, Alain Johannes (Eleven) on bass, and Jack Irons (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Eleven, and Pearl Jam) on drums. Her tour band line-up consists of Tony Bevilacqua, Bryan Tulao, Nicole Fiorentino (Veruca Salt) and Dave Hildago Jr. We can expect a full-length album in February '09.

Brody confirmed at the NME Awards that the new record will be released in May. *Sighs* more waiting! I wish Courtney could at least release Nobody's Daughter or something to keep me grounded.

I don't think Nobody's Daughter will ever see the light of day at the rate she's going.

The Ghetto Love EP was great, I loved all the songs almost equally! It's hard to choose a favorite.
Has anyone checked out Sex Bomb yet? I keep eyeing it, but I dunnoooo.. I did hear the remix on iTunes and it's awful.

the other two songs are going to have to grow on me, they are ballads. I don't think Bury My Heart or Distorting A Code are ballads. I've only heard 5 songs of Spinnerette and I already think I like them better than The Distillers lol I know Ghetto Love is definitely my favourite, the other three I love equally. The vocal effects and background vocals are so cool towards the end of Distorting A Code. It's sad to hear that Bury My Heart won't be on the album, I think it's quite a strong song.

I read the HMV review of the album. They compared it to an Avril Lavigne attempt of an album...
From what I've heard the truth is the complete opposite.
