How great is this? The Kills are releasing 5 singles from Midnight Boom. Next up (October) is Tape Song, and you can pre-order it now. The video for "Black Balloon" will be shot at the end of this month and will be the fifth (presumably final) single. And since "Sour Cherry" is arguably the biggest hit from the album, it sort of serves as the sixth single. www.dominorecordco.com/uk/singles/22-09-08/tape-song/Rug311 | Available for pre-order | Released 10/11/08 Pre-order now: £2.99 Side a 01. Tape Song Side b 01. London Hates YouFor anyone who has yet to check out the Kills, both these songs are great places to start. Both are very Garbage-y, and "Black Balloon" is totally a sister to YLSF.

I knew they were gonna release Tape Song, it was an obvious single choice. I really like the artwork for it too.
I wonder what both videos will be like.

Huge news. Something bad has happened. It's the strangest thing I've ever heard. It's all over the news, but I'll let Alison's word tell the story, courtesy of thekills.tv: TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30, 2008 THE TALE OF THE MISSING TOUR BUSThis is seriously f**ked up! And I'm concerned their NYC dates will be jeopardized. More importantly, this may entail a terrible financial hit for the band. They can't afford to lose everything! I don't know what they will do....

FUCK! How the hell did that happen?!
I bet it was robbed. Do you think this could hinder EU dates too?

You've got to give them credit: they are still touring in spite of all this!

Yeah, definetly. I know a lot of bands/artists wouldn't.
I'd see it as an oppurtunity to buy lots of new stuff! lol

Make no mistake: the Last Shadow Puppets have assembled a new EP for their U.S. fans. My Mistakes Were Made for You bundles the title track (off The Age of the Understatement) and seven more hot jams, including live covers of Burt Bacharach's "My Little Red Book" and-- with the Kills' Alison Mosshart-- Lee Hazlewood/Nancy Sinatra favorite "Paris Summer". Those Puppets do like their covers, don't they? Mistakes is available now digitally and due on CD November 4 from Domino USA, though if you live in the UK, you can score most of the tracks right now by obtaining three different physical versions of the "Mistakes" single. The Puppets, who are winding down their present European tour as you read this, will be off to the States before October's up. While here, they'll play a pair of dates and make an October 29 appearance on "Late Night With Conan O'Brien". In news from Alex Turner's other band, fellow Arctic Monkey Matt Helders recently confirmed the group's supposed Josh Homme recording sessions to NME.com. Oh, and their concert film, Arctic Monkeys at the Apollo, hits UK shelves on DVD November 3. www.pitchforkmedia.com/article/news/146686-last-shadow-puppets-enlist-kills-mosshart-for-ep

Finally have 10 minutes to write about the gig.
All I can say that it was electrifying. It was one of the highest energy gigs I've ever been to. They were both on top form and kept repeating how they loved Dublin. I wasn't too shocked by the setlist, most of it was MB (I was hoping for "What New York..."). Kinda suprised they didn't play "Love Is A Deserter". I was kinda concerned on how the backing tracks would translate live but they worked wonders since they were cranked up full volume. Great show, great music. Alison looked delicious btw.
