it just occured to me as i was sitting here that it was six months ago almost to the minute that i was in the joint at the hard rock hotel as the lights went out and johnny cash's version of hurt came on. as that night was arguably one of the coolest nights of my life, i think about it quite often. eating pancakes and drinking screwdrivers with jolly, mike and jamie. meeting dan and td after the show. getting to talk to shirley, duke and butch after the show. and the show, my god. jolly put it best - if you're a garbage fan and you weren't there that night than i feel physical pain for you. if the last time i saw them was indeed the last time i see them, it was a magnificent way to go out. i never would've imagined when i first saw garbage in buffalo, ny in 1996 opening for smashing pumpkins that nine years later i'd be poolside with them in vegas at 2:30 in the morning at the end of tour party. i know what happens in vegas is supposed to stay in vegas, but i've told everybody i know about that night.

Bastard. I'm jealous. I would have loved to go, but, unfortunately, I do not have the financial means that some others do. I simply cannot afford to follow any band on their entire tour. So many Tori Amos fans do that same fucking thing, and it annoys me. However, sounds like it was a fucking great way for the tour to end!

It was a night anyone who was there will never forget. Esp loytering int he casino ALL DAY! I remember everyone was butch is here butch is there. I was by the elevators and he came out of the elevator..."Chris you made it he said". Then Duke came out and the eric came down. Actually he was the first one I met coming off the elevators. It was one hell of a night and the best show I ever saw them play. I think the coolest thing was there were fans from all over the country and a few from canada. That show was truly full the hardest of the hardcore. I think with all the energy that was coming off the crowd the band was just feeding off of it. The more we gave them the more they gave us. I had this made when I got home from the vegas show. It is 4 feet long and like 2.5 feet tall. Then after it was made I had to modify it. I took 2 of the guitar picks out and put a poker chip from the hard rock in there place. Cause I always get asked. The mat is actually red duct tape and staples. Literally thousands of staples. There is also hand drawn pictures throughout the mat board itself. The "GARBAGE" on the left side is a sticker I had made for this frame.

I was there as everyone knows. It was truely the best Garbage concert I have been too. The backstage, and the after party. Plus grabbing a bite to eat after meeting Shirley on the casino floor. In walks Butch with a bud to eat. They sort of ditched Duke at their hotel. LOL

six months already? damn... time really goes by fast... no need to say that I LOVED the concert ... although there were some people who annoyed me nothing could bring me down that night. The concert was great, Vegas was great ... oh how I miss the summer of 2005...

Or at least the only ones who used them to go back stage. We were alone with the band back there.

I just noticed in the second pic, Chris, that you have no pictures of Duke and Shirley's "kiss" makes it look like she has HUGE lips. LOL

There are 3 picks of El Duche in there but on the other side. One is just above the poker chip. The other is to the right of the guitar picks and the third is to the right of the guitar picks and down a bit. The third is more of a wide stage shot but duke is in it non the less.
