What's it like? I've never been to a General Admission concert before. Am I going to get squished in some mosh pit? Does Garbage usually do General Admission seating?

General admission means whoever gets there first gets the pick of where they are. If it says something like "GA Floor" on your tix then you get to stand on the floor (the pit) and should get there early to get a good spot. If it has a seat on the ticket then that's your reserved spot already (and it means you arent in the pit of there is one). The venue determines the type of seating usually, not the band. Getting squished depends on how lame the crowd is! When I saw them I did not get squished or pushed; people were cool. People will stand REALLY close to you though and it gets VERY hot and sweaty...so I hope you're not claustrophobic!
The G show I've been to was awhile ago, but it was pretty well over an hour if I recall correctly. There's an encore of course. They played quite a few songs. More than 3 off each album. They do play b-sides sometimes and soundtrack songs like #1 Crush or TWINE. When I saw them w/ND they played an hour, and about 10-11 songs, but no encore. They play longer and more songs when they headline of course. I'd say be prepared for an hour and a half probably.

LOL babydoll, just remember this is Garbage, and not a deathmetal band. You'll have people jumping around to Push It and a few other songs, but you'll be quite alright.

Garbage isn't the type of show to be inciting mosh pits. The garbage shows I've been to, people are fairly calm. Some will be jumping around but most of the crowd is just there to see the band and not really going crazy. I've been to shows with big physical mosh pits but those are metal/punk type shows and to be expected. Garbage brings the rock but not that type of atmoshpere. As for general admission seating, Garbage shows are usually just that. You get to go wherever you want on the floor or the balcony(if they have it). There are no seats in these clubs. As for the setlist, the last time they played, they did good 90 minute sets and really spreading the wealth around all their albums. They played like 5 songs from each album. I'd expect the same this time around too.

I think they played 20 songs at their NYC show
I'm sure it will 2+ hours
They kind of have to play all the singles from the first 2 albums, at least 6 new songs, and maybe 3 from BG. I think BG will get shafted the most.
I expect the same amt. of 2.0 songs on this tour as the BG tours. People like them too much to cut out.

Prepare to get crushed Colleen. Philly has some rowdy crowds, even for Garbage. People just claw over you just to get a foot closer to Shirley.

I better bring a guy as a bodyguard. Who shall it be? I suggest two. One 5'8 native who packs a punch, and a 6'2 California drop of sunshine.

I don't know, but I doubt it. EVen if you get it in, if you're up front the security guys will probably take it from you.
