went to see them for the first time tonight. very impressed. it was thrilling to hear "pure mourning" and "every me, every you" live. and a special bonus - the guys did an autograph signing after their set. bought a copy of "meds" for ten bucks and had them sign it.

On the main Placebo group on MySpace, a girl claimed to have heard a new song called "... Tears" and said it was amazing!
To me, it is complete bullshit as Placebo have not even gone back into the studio as of yet and Stefan is concentrating on Hotel Persona for the moment.
I hate when people stir this kinda shit. It just aggravates people because you have to do your research just in case. And of course, it is extremely hard to find a song on the internet that never actually existed!

FINALLY SOME NEW NEWS!!! Our first news for the new year?! Hope you’ve all been keeping busy? If not, perhaps pop by our suckerlove_ community to keep yourself occupied. Things have been quiet while Stef and Brian re-group. According to Stef the lads have been in the studio and played around with a few songs, but are still without a drummer. Meanwhile, Placebo will join Mexican cinema by lending two songs to the soundtrack of the upcoming movie “Amor, Dolor Y Vice Versa” (’Love, Pain & Vice Versa) Their song ‘I Know’, with new arrangements, will be heard during the credits of the movie. “I went to England to meet them, showed them the third cut of the film and when we were talking about it they made me listen the song, a new version, and I thought it was fantastic,” said the director Alfonso Pineda. Placebo’s participation came to happen when Lynn Fainchtein, music supervisor of the film, sent the script to the band. “I’ve had a good relationship with them since a few years ago. When 21 Grams (a film by Alejandro Gonzalez Iñarritu, in which she worked) was released they contacted me saying they wanted to do things for a film but they haven’t found the right one” The other old classic being featured in the film is Without You I’m Nothing featuring David Bowie. www.sucker-love.com/placebonews/

omg - plop sounds so fun! Yeah i was there - twas amazing even though my mates messed me about only got seated tickets - still great view and show. Omg the roof of the arena nearly blew off when they came on tio do the encore. Soon as Molko uttered.. "Nancy.." people were hysterical it was frightening you could feel everyone's feet stomping and hands gyrating in the air with unfettered excitement!
Other times I saw them was in Brixton for Sleeping With Ghosts and for Meds in Wembley again - this time at the front in standing!!

Yeah, they made a vow to stop playing Nancy Boy for years and they realised they had to play it again for The Singles tour. But they said it was a joy to play again.
