I like the new song and feel like a hypocrite for my earlier post as Ive just booked to go see them at Brixton - lotsa the Garbage/Skunk Anansie fans I met last year (inclu Rob from GDB) seem to be going - sure be a gd night if I can meet up with people.

I like Skinny Little Bitch but the problem with me is I keep imagining what it would sound like with the backing vocals of the original band and how much better it'd sound if it actually was Hole.

I kinda hate that I like the new stuff, but to me it's still not Hole, despite the name. Still think it's wrong to be released under that band name.

The album Courtney Love has been working on for nearly 5 years.... and she goes and slaps Hole's name on it. To sell more records? Probably. I'm not sure how I feel....

I read an article the other day that suggested that one of the main reasons she used the name was to separate all the bullshit from her personal life and the tabloid shit from the actual music....I think thats probably hit the nail on the head

Looks like Pacific Coast Highway will be the second single http://www.islanddefjam.com/artist/disco....productID=12298 Goes to radio April 6th; if it's still structurally and thematically similar to the demo then it's a return to the "Malibu" sound.

Samantha has leaked btw, the vocals are kinda dodgy but the song sounds like classic Hole. Well, I like it a lot more than SLB anyway.

From what i've heard the new PCH has the strings removed..and has a breakdown section at the end thats new...so its VERY malibu, with a bit of "sunset strip" (America's sweetheart) thrown in for good measure

Pacific Coast Highway is nice. I think I like the structure and rawness of the 'demo' better though, I liked the bendy guitar bits :-)

I guess that's true but at the same time, wouldn't just creating a new band with a new band name help separate the shit even more? Coz going back to using Hole instead of saying its a solo album just brings up even more issues with Hole fans who don't agree with her using the name.

The album has been put back to May 3rd in the UK for some reason, which is the same day as the Glasgow show, so hopefully I'll be able to *download* it the week before so I can learn all the words in advance of the show. I am resisting listening to the demos, even though I have all the demos in a folder, I haven't really bothered listening to them before, and I don't want to suffer from demoitis.

I'm loving the series of artwork for this album and related singles. Does anyone know if they'll be doing a full European tour this year? My friend is dying to know and I thought someone here may know.

Theres a typically over the place performance of Big Star's Thirteen from that AOL Session thats worth watching - both for playing it in the origianl arrangment rather than the one Garbage did, and for Courtney's weird looking lips...can i say PLUMP!!!!!
